Harness & Cobbler Shop |
 |
Besides walking, horses were the only means of transportation for the early settlers. The Harness-Maker was responsible for making all the saddles and harnesses they would need to hitch up their team of horses. The Cobbler used a corner of the Harness Shop for his own trade. He would often travel to farmer's homes and live with them until he was done making shoes for the whole family.
